The World Health Organisation has made known that Coronavirus (COVID-19), does not spread through mobile networks.

The released statement confirmed the popular belief as false, adding that the virus spreads through respiratory droplets, especially when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

It gave an instance of the virus spreading in countries that do not have 5G mobile networks.

It explained that one can also be infected by touching a contaminated surface and then their eyes, mouth or nose.

It also made known that exposure to the sun or temperatures higher than 25 degrees celsius would not prevent the virus.

It advised that for people to protect themselves from the virus, they should ensure frequent and thorough hand washing and avoid touching eyes, mouth, and nose
