Anambra State Government Reopens Large Markets Across The State
Anambra State Government has scheduled May 4 for all 63 major markets across the state to resume business.
The information was made known to the newsmen by the Governor, Cheif Willie Obiano, after a brief meeting with the market leaders at Aguleri.
He said that order has been given for each market to set up a task force that would be trained by the state government on the COVID-19 safety compliance principle.
He also said that market leaders were to forward 20 to 30 names that would form part of the task force that would monitor compliance.
He made known that the members of the task force would be trained within the week before reopening of the markets on Monday, May 4, 2020.
He still insisted that the state border remained closed. Also, schools and government offices were still closed.
