Fashola To Appear Before Senate Over Abandonment Of North-East Road Project
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola has been summoned by the Nigerian Senate over the abandonment of the Mararaba-Mubi-Michika-Bama Road Project.
The motion was moved by Senator Elisha Ishaku (Adamawa North) who said no meaningful progress had been made on the road spanning Adamawa and Borno States except the construction of drains and culverts.
He also suggested that the project should be revoked and re-awarded to another contractor.
The Senate has set up a committee that will investigate the progress of the work and the reason the project was abandoned.
